Among the shrub-like perennials, one cannot fail to mention the privet which is mainly cultivated for ornamental purposes and to create hedges.
This plant is native to Australia, but also to central and southern Europe and the northern part of Africa. In Italy it grows spontaneously and it is easy to find it almost everywhere.
Often seen in the borders, in the gardens or in the parks, green hedges and neat but always made with the same plants. If you want to create a different and decidedly refined and elegant optical effect, you can opt for an Escallonia native to the American continent and in particular Argentina: there are at least 60 species, to create such hedges that are always different and colorful.
Maybe they are not one of the most visited monuments of the city but with the summer heat, definitely worth a visit. The perfumes no lack even the cool and the view even less because, these gardens wedged between the harbor and the Alcazaba of Malaga, really give many colored roses and geometric hedges to those who pass or decide to stop and freshen up a bit.
